Our co-op is a member of the Co-Operative Housing Federation of Canada. Their monthly newsletter can be accessed by all members of the co-op upon sign up.
CHF Canada is the nation-wide umbrella organization for co‑op housing and Canada’s link with co‑op housing around the world. As spelled out in their mission and values, they exist to unite, represent and serve the co‑op housing community across Canada.
You Hold the Key
Ashworth Square is a proud supporter of CHF’s “You Hold the Key” campaign. Canada’s governments need to take action now to keep rent-geared-to-income housing assistance in place for low-income households who will lose it after federal housing agreements end. We’re asking governments to create and fund long-term, cost-shared rent supplement programs, to be delivered by provinces and territories (and municipalities in Ontario).
Rooftops Canada
Rooftop Canada’s international programs help thousands of families secure affordable housing in sustainable communities. Ashworth Square supports Rooftops Canada by donation which helps them promote the development of co-ops in African countries.
The Ontario Co-operative Association
The Ontario Co-operative Association (On Co-op™) is the only organization to bring together ALL of Ontario’s English-speaking co-operatives and credit unions for education, support, development, information-sharing and celebration. By fostering cross-sector networking, On Co-op promotes co-operation amongst co-operatives. And, by working and acting together as a co-ordinated group, Ontario’s co-ops have a higher profile with the public, government and each other.
International Co-op Alliance
Ashworth Square Co-op is a proud supporter of the International Co-op Alliance. The International Co-operative Alliance is an independent, non-governmental organisation established in 1895 to unite, represent and serve co-operatives worldwide. The Alliance provides a global voice and forum for knowledge, expertise and coordinated action for and about co-operatives.
